The Century Arms WASR-10 rifle is one of the most popular variants of the far-reaching AK-47 platform. The AK-47 has inspired many clones over the years thanks to its renowned reliability, but the WASR-10 stands out thanks to its upgrades. Designed and built off the improved AKM platform, this rifle features several improvements compared to a standard AK-47. For starters, the weight of this rifle has been reduced to less than 7 pounds as a result of various tweaks including a hollow buttstock. Combined with a rust-resistant 16.25 inch chrome-lined barrel this rifle is perfectly prepared for the outdoors.
This rifle isn’t just at home in the hills though, its other features help it serve as an excellent range tool as well. The rear sight has been upgraded from the standard AK-47 800 yard model to the AKM’s 1000 yard variant instead. Other notable upgrades from the standard AK-47 include a slanted compensator and the RAK-1 double-hook enhanced trigger group. Those work together to eliminate muzzle rise and trigger slap, keeping you on target for both rapid fire and precision shooting. The final extras on the Century Arms WASR-10 are a gas block bayonet lug and a quality PMAG magazine to round out a complete package chambered in the classic 7.62x39mm.
Century Arms no longer ships these firearms with cleaning rods, so make sure to grab a Hoppe’s BoreSnake to make cleaning a breeze even after the longest range sessions.
