Bison Tactical Wind Flag
Tired of using flagging tape for a shooting wind flag? Sure it is cheap, but it rips every time you get your tripod out.
Here at Bison Tactical we got tired of flagging or survey tape, and decided to make our own wind direction indicator out of lightweight ripstop nylon.
We chose highly visible colors: white, yellow and gray to make them easy to see even from a distance.
Our shooting wind indicators are entirely sewn for extreme durability.
These shooting wind flags are durable, lightweight, water repellent and inexpensive!
Hook them under your tripod and have a mobile wind indicator for wind direction. If you have the TFCT-33 or TFCT-34 from Really Right Stuff, you can run the loop end through the threaded rod under the apex of the tripod. For other tripods that have a hook under the head, use a simple cow hitch to attach to the hook and it will stay in place nicely!
Get really good at things and you might be able to figure out a wind speed as well (hint: mark the speeds with a sharpie on your flag).
1″ x 21″ long to fit within the first leg set of a tripod like the Really Right Stuff TFCT-33 or the Feisol 3372 or pretty much any other tripod on the market!
