This scope comes in several reticle choices, the Gen 2 XR, Gen 3 XR (new), the MOA-ER and the Gen 2 Mildot reticle. We only carry the Gen 2, Gen 3 XR’s and the MOA-ER in the TT315P.
The other Tangent Theta scope the TT315M is the “Marksman” version, while the “P” designates “Professional” which helps us understand who the scope is designed for. The Marksman line is less expensive and lighter, but uses the same glass. The Tangent Theta TT315P has the same TOOL-LESS RE-ZERO that make adjusting your zero super easy in the field. The Marksman line does not have this feature, and this is one of the major differences which represents a portion of the cost difference.
The TT315P has a 34mm tube. The “M” has a 30mm tube. This is another important difference to be aware of.
The Locking Diopter on the Tangent Theta TT315P and TT525P is a really nice feature. This is particularly useful because of the included Tenebraex scope caps, which rotate, so you can easily rotate them out of the way. If you use a scope without a locking diopter, then the diopter is often moved with the scope cap when rotating. The lock right stops that behavior and is one really nice small feature of these scopes.
