Bighorn Action Wrench from Bighorn Arms

The Bighorn Action Wrench is the perfect wrench for anyone who works with Remington 700 pattern actions. The slot cut into the side of the wrench ensures compatibility with Springfield-style ejectors, such as those found in the Bighorn TL3 and Origin actions. No need to remove the ejector, this wrench will slip right past.

This is also the correct action wrench for the RimX Action from Zermatt Tool just be aware that it is designed to insert only partially into the RimX action unlike the standard TL3 or other Remington 700 style 2 lug actions.

It’s shape also enables compatibility with other actions utilizing the same bolt and lug shape as a Remington 700 or a Savage action. Please note that this wrench does not fit the American Rifle Company Mausingfield, Nucleus or Archimedes.  It will also not work with 3 lug actions like the Accuracy International or Ultimatum.  It is also known to not work with Surgeon actions.

It is possible this action wrench will work as a replacement Defiance action wrench or with Lone Peak or Impact actions, but we have not confirmed these will fit.

To use this wrench to remove your barrel, you will also need a barrel vice like the Viper Barrel Vice sold by Bison Tactical, or a similar product to secure the barrel while you apply torque to the barrel.
