The Garmin Foretrex 701 Ballistic Edition – GF701B is a state of the art ballistic calculator and GPS unit that fits on your wrist or a weapon mounted DOPE holder. The unit contains the Applied Ballistics G1/G7 and Custom Drag Model library as well as ballistic calibrations for Aerodynamic Jump, Spin Drift, Vertical Coriolis Effect, Horizontal Coriolis Effect, Max Ord, and Max Ord Range to provide the most accurate ballistic solutions on the market.

The GF701B’s boasts a powerful ELR processing core, allowing it to calculate firing solutions in excess of 10,000 yards with speed and ease. The unit can also store more than 100 gun profiles and allows users to build a profile directly on the device, or via the AB Profile loader with no app needed.

A MV temp table is also available to account for velocity shift with temperature fluctuations. If your scope tracking is incorrect, Sight Scale Factor has the ability to true a firing solution to the actual movement values of your scope turrets.

Internal sensors for ballistic calculations include station pressure, latitude, and direction (compass). Optionally, a Garmin Tempe can be added for live temperature readings. User inputted wind and humidity values complete the firing solution.

Foretrex 701 includes a target speed/direction function to give ballistic solutions for moving targets. Additionally, a watch/timer allows users to set timer notifications to help manage time in competition. All of this makes the Foretrex 701 a formidable piece of kit for your next match.

For outdoor recreational activities the Foretrex 701 has a hunt/fish calendar, sun/moon information and a multitude of GPS functions. Store up to 50 routes, set up to 500 way points, and store up to 10,000 Track Log events. Other features include a compass, point to point distance and navigation, GLONASS/Galileo support, real time bread crumb trail and much more.

The GF701B is built for hard use. It is MIL-STD-801 compliant for shock, temperature, and water protection, as well as IPX7 rated. The GF701B has a 2 inch screen and weighs in at a mere 2.8 ounces.
