Garmin Instinct Rugged GPS Watch
The Garmin Instinct is the perfect watch for anybody who enjoys the outdoors. Constructed to U.S. military standard 810G for thermal, shock, and water resistance (rated to 100 meters), this watch can handle anything you can and more. The display is chemically-strengthened for maximum scratch resistance, and provides high enough contrast to be easily readable even on the brightest days. A vented silicone band ensures comfort, and also provides two independent and removable keeper loops to ensure a secure fit and prevent your watch from getting caught on whatever obstacles you encounter.
The built in 3-axis compass and barometric altimeter will be, but the true functionality lies in the global satellite navigation systems onboard. The Garmin Instinct has not one, not two, but three different global satellite navigation systems integrated into the watch – GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo – to ensure that you can locate yourself no matter where you go and no matter the conditions. Traditional GPS systems fail under certain conditions such as storms and low visibility of the sky, but the two backup systems help ensure accurate geolocation in many challenging conditions. These location capabilities are paired with navigation features, such as TracBack which allows you to return to your starting point along the same route you previously traveled.
Garmin Instinct Features
The Garmin Instinct also has many common smartwatch features, such as heart rate monitoring to track both exercise and sleep. The Instinct can also be paired with your smartphone to access notifications and messages at a glance, as well as automatically upload data to the Garmin Connect online fitness software.
For more exterior temperature readings not affected by body heat it can also be paired with the Garmin Tempe Wireless Temperature sensor.
