SOAR R-LOCK Conversion
SOAR R-LOCK conversion for your existing chassis (AT-X Rifles, MDT ACC Chassis, XLR Chassis and MPA Competition Chassis).
Some chassis or rifles may not be compatible because they may not have enough space for the dimples.
SOAR R-LOCK provides a non-slip stop with an ARCA rail connection.

Process
When you checkout you will be charged shipping. This is the return shipping for your chassis or rifle to you after the work has been completed.
The cost is different based on the work to convert a stripped chassis or a complete rifle. If you do not want to send us a stripped chassis then select the AT-X rifle variant, otherwise select the Chassis variant. Embedded in the cost of the conversion is the shipping cost from you to us. We will generate you a shipping label to ship the rifle or chassis to use to have the work completed.
No paint is included in the standard conversion, the dimples are left as raw aluminum dimples. Paint is an additional option. Select “Painted AT-X” or “Painted Chassis”. Painting includes standard Cerakote colors, and the more generic colors the shorter the turn around. For example Black or Flat Dark Earth ceracote are on-hand, while Storm Trooper White could cause additional lead times.
Information
Standard dovetail rails without R-LOCK are prone to slipping and sliding along the rail and only rely on the clamping force of the clamp to the dovetail to provide enough friction to avoid slipping. Unfortunately higher recoil or lightweight platforms can trigger significant slipping along the ARCA rail – in worst case where a bipod or tripod comes entirely off the rail. Talk about going off the rails!
We firmly believe the Really Right Stuff SOAR R-LOCK indexing system for rifles is milestone upgrade to the way shooters attach gear to their platforms. Going from MIL-STD-1913 rail (a.k.a. Picatinny) to the RRS Dovetail (and or ARCA rail) now to the R-LOCK indexing system for the Really Right Stuff dovetail specification is a significant improvement.
The SOAR R-LOCK system requires two components, a dovetail rail with specific dimples cut into the bottom and a QR clamp with an integrated indexing lock-pin. All the new Really Right Stuff clamps including the RRS Anvil 30 heads on all new tripods come with this integrated indexing lock-pin. While the system is backwards compatible with standard dimple-less dovetail rails, the only way to reap the benefits of the SOAR R-Lock is to use a rail that is compatible.
Bison Tactical is providing a service – the SOAR R-LOCK Conversion to convert your chassis with a non dimpled dovetail to have the SOAR R-LOCK dimples so you can use SOAR R-LOCK effectively.
